I don’t think I’ve ever had a weird crush, but I think the most awkward one was when I was, like, fifteen? Sixteen? I was crushing on this guy, Marco, in school. Half Italian, tall, just-the-right-amount-of-buff, brown curly shoulder-length hair, dark brown eyes, fucking gorgeous. I crushed hard on him for like two years. I am pathetic, man.
So, there was a Kristine (me) and a Kirstine in our class, and he had misheard someone saying I had a crush on him, thought it was the other one, and avoided her for ages from then on. He eventually figured out it was me, and then he avoided me, in stead. YEP.
