Soooo I dyed this unitard last night, and then had a minor bout of panic because the box said “taupe” but the unitard after just a minute in the dye (it was supposed to be in the dye bath for 30 minutes!) it was super dark, so I pulled it out and rinsed it furiously, and hung it to dry, hoping for a small miracle.
As you can see the dye did dry a lot lighter, thankfully. Not light enough, though. How do I go about making the bib lighter? Will paint actually do the trick? Do I go the Misto route and give her a fluffy light bib? Halp.
Ravenclaw robes for sale!
I’m so torn on what to do with Kamaria unitard v.2.
Sponge texture galore, brushwork brushwork brushwork, or some sort of mix between the two, however the heck you mesh those nicely.
Painting other peoples’ faces is hard, man. She loved it, and got a lot of compliments though, so I guess I succeeded!
I’m just gonna leave this as my Halloween costume photo. Because of reasons.
Back home from London Expo. Not happy about this fact. I miss everyone :(
I think this is my favourite photo from this weekend. Me as Electra from CATS, and my friend Stu as the Witch King from The Lord of the Rings.
My pirate hat, for my in-progress steampunk pirate costume.
The top picture is what the hat looked like, generic fancy dress.
The bottom picture is what it now looks like, after I’ve had my way with it :)
Quick and messy concept smush for my steampunky pirate costume.
Zira makeup worn to a villain party at uni.
So, remember that one time I was Skimbleshanks for half an hour?
