Soooo I dyed this unitard last night, and then had a minor bout of panic because the box said “taupe” but the unitard after just a minute in the dye (it was supposed to be in the dye bath for 30 minutes!) it was super dark, so I pulled it out and rinsed it furiously, and hung it to dry, hoping for a small miracle.
As you can see the dye did dry a lot lighter, thankfully. Not light enough, though. How do I go about making the bib lighter? Will paint actually do the trick? Do I go the Misto route and give her a fluffy light bib? Halp.
So. Much. Crisscrossing. And. Hatching.
I finished the last bit of brown and started hatching today! I both love and hate hatching, because I love doing all the scribbling, but I’m not particularly good at it, so I get awkward joins and splotches. I have a feeling if my mannequin could stand this would be a whole lot easier.
I’m so tired of making and sewing on fluffies and I’m not even halfway yet, someone shoot me now.
Flailing all over the place over here, you guys.
I cannot. I have lost the ability to can.
I swear, Katie is a goddess. Hoooly crap.
ALL OF THE BUTTONS!
I’m gonna feel so fabulous wearing this. <3
So much pretty I can’t even. <3 Eeee!
<3 <3 <3
This was as much fluff as I could be bothered to cut up and fray for now. :P
Still a long way to go, but at least it’s starting to look like something!
Skirt for my Mad Hatter all done! Made with copious amounts of help from my friend Karen - she did all of the actual sewing. <3
